Claudia Smith is the creative visionary behind Island Hooked TCI, a boutique crochet brand defined by elegance, craftsmanship, and island-inspired design. Her journey began in high school and deepened in college, where she mastered reading patterns — a skill that shaped her refined artistic style.

What started as a source of relaxation blossomed into a lifelong passion. In her early years, Claudia handcrafted bags, doilies, tablecloths, and bedspreads, each piece reflecting patience, precision, and an appreciation for timeless handmade beauty. Over time, her creativity evolved, and during the pandemic she elevated her craft to include wearable designs such as blouses, tops, bralettes, skirts, and dresses.

Today, Claudia’s collections feature sophisticated crochet fashion, a delicate line of baby shoes and clothing, and accessories including scrunchies, caps, swimsuits, and stylish cover-ups. Each creation embodies thoughtful detail and understated luxury.

For Claudia, crochet is both joy and purpose. Grateful to God for her gift, she pours care, gratitude, and love into every stitch. She proudly accepts custom orders, bringing her clients’ visions to life through beautifully handcrafted pieces.
