Amira Lightbourne

I am an emerging artist born in Providenciales and raised in Grand Turk, which I fondly call home. Working across mixed media, printmaking, and expressive portraiture, my pieces are rich with layered color, symbolic pattern, and rhythmic mark-making. Recurring motifs of faces, celestial forms, and abstract geometry suggest both identity and inner worlds, blending intuition with thoughtful structure. Currently studying at A-Level College, my practice reflects parallel interest in engineering—where creativity, precision, and problem-solving quietly intersect.
Drawing from self-reflection, doubts and tears my pieces give you a glimpse of growing up in the Turks & Caicos Islands and learning to adapt to new international cultures and nuances. I am open to commissioning, so reach out.
